Iconic horror director William Castle produced a basic, but winning formula for his films: a little comedy, a lot of scares, a preposterous trick, and a clear sense that shock films must be fun. This even implied Castle would, like Alfred Hitchcock, appear in his trailers as well as the films themselves.
Though his profession covered 35 years and consisted of everything from westerns to crime thrillers, he'll constantly be remembered for his horror films from the late 50s to the mid-60s. Enjoy 5 of his suspenseful classics!
